Before Coverstamp opensCoverstamp opens in early 2027. Until then, this site offers free tools and a waiting list. The tools give estimates, facts and templates, not insurance or legal advice, and come as they are. Your carrier and your policy decide what an audit charges. The rest of these terms cover Coverstamp once it opens.

How these terms are built

These terms are the Common Paper Cloud Service Agreement Standard Terms, free to use under CC BY 4.0, with the choices below and our addendum on this page. You accept them when you create your account.

ProviderAndrii Astapov, doing business as Coverstamp
Law and courtsDelaware law, and the state and federal courts in Delaware
Our liability capWhat you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
Disputes In court, with no arbitration, each brought on its own and never as part of a group
Plan termMonthly or yearly, until you cancel

Our addendum: what Coverstamp does, and doesn't

AI reads each certificate, and our rules compare it with your requirements. When we aren't sure, we ask you to look. Coverstamp gives no insurance or legal advice and doesn't interpret contracts: when it reads an owner contract into project rules or a lease into a tenant's requirements, a person on your team confirms them before they're saved. It fills in lien waiver forms and keeps them, but never says which waiver to sign. We aren't an insurance company or agent, and whether the coverage of a sub, vendor or tenant is enough is your decision. The audit estimate is an early warning, not your carrier's bill. ACORD 25 and ACORD 28 are forms of ACORD Corporation, and Coverstamp isn't affiliated with ACORD.

Your account

An admin opens the account for the company and decides who joins. Admins manage the team, the plan and the requirements; members do the daily work. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.

Plans and billing

Paid plans renew every month or every year, on the day the plan started. A bigger plan starts at once, and you pay the difference for the rest of the month or year; a smaller plan or a cancellation takes effect at the end of the month or year you paid for. A pack of more reads is charged at once to the card on file. Paddle, our seller of record, charges your card and adds sales tax where it applies. If a payment fails, you have a week to update the card before the account moves to the Free plan. Within 14 days of any payment, you can have it back in full, as our refund policy explains.

Your data, QuickBooks and Xero

You own your data. You let us store and process it only to run Coverstamp for you, and to count it with other companies' data in yearly figures that name no one, as the privacy policy explains. When QuickBooks or Xero is connected, we read vendors, bills and payments there, and we write a coverage note on each vendor you track and a warning on new bills from one who misses your rules. In QuickBooks we also save the taxpayer ID from each signed W-9, for your 1099s. Disconnect anytime in Settings › Integrations.

Fair use

Use Coverstamp for your own company's subs, vendors and tenants. Don't upload documents you have no right to share, try to reach other companies' data, or overload the service.

Your plan's reads are for certificates of your own subs, vendors and tenants. You may not use Coverstamp to read certificates for other companies, as a service or for resale, or upload by script. If an account does, we may pause reading and email you why.

We may change a plan's reads or a pack's price with 30 days' notice by email. Reads you've already bought are kept.

Limits and disputes

We work hard to read every certificate correctly, but no reading is perfect. As far as the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Delaware law governs these terms, a dispute goes to the courts in Delaware, and each claim is brought on its own, never as part of a group.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we email admins 30 days before the change takes effect. Questions: hello@coverstamp.com.
